Luke Wagner has been painting the landscape of Tasmania Australia for 50 years it is part of his being that he strives to find emotion and poetry in his images with a natural and relaxed approach - not attempting to force any opinion or attitude into his images - searching for a timeless and universal pictorial that speaks to the viewer without the need of an explanation - Luke is a self taught determined painter working with high quality hand made oil paints mixed with wax applied to Italian linen on bespoke stretchers and framed by him in Tasmanian Oak frames - now with nearly 50 solo shows and many prize finalist selections including Glover Hadleys and Mossman - Luke is a career artist
